WEB DEVELOPMENT

CheaperLifeAssurance.ie
Developed an online quotation system for Cowan Insurance Brokers Ltd, using Visual Web Developer, with ASP.Net, CSS and JavaScript.

JustASKUs!
Co-authored the requirements for this community information web site. Design based on the Kentico CMS content management system, customised with HTML and CSS. Hosted on a Windows Virtual Private Server (VPS). Site closed following withdrawl of Lottery funding. Snapshots available here.

Chichester-CVS.org.uk
Web site maintenance and development work. Enhanced the facility for editing news and event announcements, which are stored in an Access database. Classic ASP and VBScript.

Monitum.com
(1) Online Insurance Quotation Generator
Developed with ASP.Net, VB.Net and JavaScript.

(2) Desktop & Online Mortgage Calculators
The office desktop version was developed with VB6. The web version was developed with ASP.Net, VB.Net (migrated from the desktop version) and JavaScript.

DATABASE APPLICATIONS

Publisher Royalty Tracking Database
Designed for Summersdale Publishing, this Microsoft Access database records sales information and prints royalty statements.

Document Archive & Retrieval System
A Microsoft Access database, archiving engineering drawings, for retrieval and printing by workshop staff.

Dairy Management System
Developed for FDC, this application comprises a Visual Basic front-end to a Microsoft Access database, and uses Crystal Reports for reporting. It includes 12 full-screen forms, 16 midsize forms, about 40,000 lines of code in 75 modules, 45 Access tables, and 54 reports.

Telecoms Utility
On subcontract to TalkTel Systems, developed the configuration utility of a Lake Communications telephone switch, manufactured for British Telecom. This involved modifying the Visual Basic code of an existing utility, and adding new features.

Occuhealth & Safety Services
Designed a Microsoft Access database for this client, to record hazard data and publish Safety Statements.
